Digital Research on Gen-Z in Brazil, Kenya and Spain
2025-2026
Our Gen-Z Democracy Project is a transnational initiative that explores how young people engage with digital debates about democracy in Brazil, Kenya and Spain. Using digital research and narrative analysis, the project examines how Gen-Z communities understand and discuss issues that shape their future, while also mapping the opportunities and challenges for effective communication. The project will develop evidence-based insights and practical tools that strengthen youth engagement and support more resonant, democratic dialogue.

Social Listening Barometer on Members of the European Parliament
2024-2025
Our latest Social Listening Barometer on Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) explores how elected representatives communicate and engage with the public on X (formerly Twitter). Based on data collected between 1 July and 30 September 2024, the report analyzes over 18 million interactions involving 438 active MEPs, mapping out key political conversations, narrative clusters, and the voices driving engagement across Europe. Using advanced network analysis, it reveals how different political groups shape online discourse—highlighting the strategies, topics, and communities that are most influential in shaping public debate at the EU level.

Digital Research on Climate in Austria, Belgium, Latvia and Poland
2024-2025
In partnership with local organisations, we conducted digital research reports on climate discourse in Austria, Belgium, Latvia, and Poland for the European Climate Foundation. Through social listening and narrative analysis, each study maps the online debate around national energy and climate plans, identifying key communities, influencers, and narratives that shape public perception. These country-specific insights highlight both opportunities and challenges for climate communication, providing evidence-based guidance to strengthen pro-climate engagement across Europe.

Civic space in Croatia, Hungary, Italy and Sweden
2024-2025
In collaboration with local partners and our project partner Civil Liberties Union Europe, we carried out digital research reports on civic space in Croatia, Hungary, Italy and Sweden, funded by the EU under the CERV programme. Each study examines how civic space is understood and contested on Facebook, mapping key narratives and identifying different audience groups. The main goal was to better understand middle audiences, while also gathering insights from opposition and supporter groups. Beyond civic space itself, the reports also explore connected issues integral to democratic life — including migration, citizenship, and racism — to reveal how these debates shape public perceptions and civil society’s role. Together, the findings provide valuable insights to strengthen communication strategies that protect and expand civic freedoms across Europe.
